This is a message for art students and aspiring illustrators…
I have been receiving so many e-mails everyday from people asking questions. I am very flattered. At the same time, already swamped juggling my own work and looking after 20 BFA students and 1 MFA student of my own, it is extremely difficult to answer back to each one of you.. If you don’t hear back from me, please please don’t take it personally!!
I just finished judging the student category at The Association of Illustrators of UK. All the winners including Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards are finalized. Winners will be announced soon. I was amazed by the high quality of illustrations to choose from, and it was so much fun. Congratulations to everyone who got in, and thank you Sabine of AOI for giving me this opportunity.
If you are interested in applying to MFA Illustration Program at School of Visual Arts, Open House is this Saturday, November 27th at 2PM. My studio-mate Katie and I will be there for panel and Q & A. To attend, please register on their website.
Sorry for not updating my site in a while. It is always a bit hectic in fall when new school year starts and it takes a while for me to get back into juggling illustration and teaching. I will update the site very soon. There are lots of illustrations that need to be added to this site!

Thank you everyone for coming to SUPER PHAT opening reception last night. I saw the show for the first time myself, and it turned out to be a big fun of diverse interesting work. If you haven’t seen it yet, hope you can go stop by! It worth walking all the way west to 11th Avenue.
