The First Greater China Illustration Awards deadline has just passed. The competition has entered the judging stage, which I will be participating in Hong Kong in November. Good luck to all the participants!

Illustration workshop in Venice, Italy is back again this summer. It is a six day long workshop for illustrators in any level. The Course is limited to about 15 students. A group show focuses on Japanese art, from the old to the new, has just opened in Rome, Italy. The show features works of famous ukiyo-e artists such as Utamaro, Kuniyosi and Hiroshige, as well as works by contemporary Japanese illustrators. Some of my works are shown along side the works of illustrators live/work in Japan including Tatsuro Kiuchi, my high school classmate and now very well respected illustrator.

I have participated in this group show about homeland security and what we sacrifice in return. Artists from around the world were invited to create site specific installations.
My contribution is a poster design to be seen around Berlin. Six graphic designers and illustrators were invited for this part of the exhibition.

I teamed up with fantastic graphic designer Harri Kuhn of Mischen Berlin to recreate a poster for Midnight Cowboy. The work is under progress right now and we should be able to show it to you soon.

I cannot even keep up with where this long-time traveling show is popping up in the world! Apparently they will be in Melbourne, Australia this time.

My illustration agent out in London, CIA has organized a traveling exhibit of represented artists. The show kicked off in advertising agency JWT office in London. This mini-show is scheduled to travel around in London till the end of the year.
